Wikimedia Deutschland, the German chapter of the Wikimedia Foundation, just started to hire for the new Wikidata project. Wikidata is a project aiming to create a common repository for information similar to the Wikimedia Commons repository of files. In this way it will be possible to integrate information like the number of inhabitants of Berlin into all language versions of an article automatically, rather than doing this manually as is the case now. Semantic MediaWiki is planned to be a main component of Wikidata. See here for the current job openings.
