Tabular data

Tabular data means data organized in a spredsheet style with columns and rows. Often, data organized within a SMW installation can be seen as tabular data.

SMW capabilitites

• Help:Table format - the default result format in ask queries with several printouts
• Help:Spreadsheet format - for exporting tabular data to a spreadheet program
• Help:CSV format - for exporting tabular data
• Help:Type_Record - for storing many-valued properties or n-ary properties
• Subobject - for handling an object that has its own property-value pairs without having a page in the wiki

Extensions

• Data Transfer - allows importing tabular data (CSV)
• External Data - allows for querying external data sources and imporing them into SMW

Tables in MediaWiki

• Tables in MediaWiki use wikitext syntax to display an HTML table. If you want to display data from SMW in a MediaWiki table that should go beyond what the Help:Table format can offer, you can consider the Archive:Template format where you are bulding your table with templates.
