The SMW API is a web service API enabling external components or data services to access the Semantic MediaWiki database using a standardized HTTP request.
Content provider[edit]
SMW API service is being provided by the API modules interface which extends the MediaWiki API to gain access to serialized query results.
Content consumer[edit]
Momentarily (Semantic MediaWiki 1.9.0) two result printers (Help:Eventcalendar format, Help:Datatables format) are content consumers and use the query result serialization provided by the SMW API.
