tab-delimited file?

Is it possible to use the 'sep' parameter to force the query to return a tab-delimited file?

Acutally I cannot tell. In case there is some symbol which represents tab, I do not see a reason why it should not work. However I do not know if something like this exists. Cheers --[[kgh]] 13:22, 8 February 2012 (CET)

sep vs. seperator

The examples on the help page use the variable 'sep' when I think they should be using 'separator'. You'll notice that the second example does not delineate the columns with "~", but rather with the default ":".

I believe you may use both to achieve this. But you are right, the given examples should be consistent. Since other result formats use sep, we should go for that. Additionally you are right, that the example is not working properly. I think there was a fix to it which has not been installed on this wiki. In both cases I will contact the developer.
