PHP Caching solutions and performance

From semantic-mediawiki.org

Hello Karsten. I moved my sandbox to PHP Caching solutions and performance. I am not sure if the name is correct or that the templates are used correctly. I want to add more information on the page regarding performance in combination with SMW but I am running out of time :). This is it for the moment.

Currently I cannot really think of a better name which may not be debatable. So keeping it there for the time being is cool. Yeah, the infobox is used correctly. Thanks a ton for putting so much effort into this! Perhaps you should do a talk a the next SWM Con in Europe. Will be nice to meet you too. Cheers

Well I probably need to know a lot more about the subject. My approach is rather pragmatic I just wanted to know which solution makes sense, why and how to do it. There is other comparison data on the internet but most of it is or not complete or sometimes very "difficult" to interpret. I am not a programmer, I know my way around with SQL code but the last time I really programmed something was on a Commodore 16 in Assembly because Basic was so slow :). I won't say no to a talk, a lot can happen in a year. I did notice that me moving my sandbox page was not such a good idea. Now the whole sandbox history is also moved and most of it is not relevant for the page. Regards.

You still have to remember that more than half of the regular audience is not able to program too. So I guess "street knowledge" is valid too an probably even better to understand for them anyway than technobabble :) Wow a Commodore 16. Last time I did a complete program myself was in 87 on an XT with 256 KB RAM and a gigantic 10 MB hard drive. Admittedly I used BASIC and still had to insert the row numbers. Memory lane ... :)

Maybe a small tweet would be nice saying that smw.org is hosting such elaborate/comparable information now.

I will poke Jeroen to do a tweet. Indeed a good idea.

Just seeing this now and loving it. Not sure if this has been tweeted yet, and guess it can't hurt to do another one. Kgh, you want to do that now you have access anyway?

This triggered you granting me access, so it was my very first tweet I have done for SemanticMW. A tweet is out there. :)
