Our site was manually registered (wiki.step-project.com); however, I atempted to use the button from the special page, but get the following error from the registry: An error occurred: Could not find any recent version of SMW.
This is strange, because our site is publicly accessible and has the most recent versions of MW and SMW installed. Not sure what the problem is though Z929669 (talk) 20:46, 5 March 2013 (CET)
The registry service is somehow broken. I opened a bug 35389 for this some time ago an will add you comment to it. Thank you for reporting. Cheers
Hi, It seems like it's broken again. How can I register my wiki? http://wiki.publicdata.eu/wiki/Special:Version
Kind regards, Ivan Ermilov.
I am afraid this was never fixed / fixed properly. The registry service seems to require an overhaul.
Seems to be still half-broken, giving me the same "An error occured: Could not find any recent version of SMW." message when I try to update the Familypedia.wikia.com entry. But other wikis are being registered, and one of them is as backward as ours. Our Special:Version has these:
- Semantic Drilldown (Version 1.1)
- Semantic Forms (Version 2.4.2)
- Semantic MediaWiki (Version 1.7.1)
I'm now confronted with the same problem.
Semantic MediaWiki could not be found at [1] (either the page Special:Version was not found at all, or SMW's version could not be determined from that page).
Product Version MediaWiki 1.24.0 PHP 5.3.28 (apache2handler) MySQL 5.0.95
Version shows the following:
Semantic extensions Extension Version License Description Authors Semantic Bundle 1.9.2 A pre-packaged bundle of Semantic MediaWiki related extensions Yaron Koren, Jeroen De Dauw and others Semantic Maps 3.0.4 License Provides the ability to view and edit coordinate data stored with the Semantic MediaWiki extension Jeroen De Dauw Semantic MediaWiki 1.9.2 License Making your wiki more accessible - for machines and humans (online documentation) Markus Krötzsch, Jeroen De Dauw, James Hong Kong and others
I tried version 2.0; same problem
In addition to this, Maps doesn't seem to work: [2]
The wiki registry is depending on the SMW version and probably setup related factors more or less broken since SWM 1.5.6 There are bugs for this but so far this was not a big priority.
Thanks you for the registry related answer.
Any idea why http://drebbel.net/wiki/DrebbelsPlaces doesn't work? Seems related to parser-hooks. SMW test works fine however.
