ISO 9001 Quality Management[edit]

  • Cope with the problem of high fluctuation of employees that research institutions are faced with
  • Enabling employees having control on the processes, workflows and administrative tasks within the company
  • Increases the efficiently on their work due to structured and accessible knowledge
  • Increases the credibility and the confidence of the customers
  • IPE-Wiki is implemented in such a way that it leads the organization to fulfil the requirements of ISO 9001:2015
  • Users of IPE-Wiki are employees of IPE Division (4 departments, ~30 employees)
  • Semantic templates and forms allow the employees to describe their projects and to export them as a document that is used by the quality management system

Project Management[edit]

  • Experience in PM with SMW in research projects ReApp, BigGIS
  • Collaborative development of project related ontologies within SMW
  • Semantic forms for work packages, status documentation, reports
  • Dynamically generated overview of timeline (work packages, responsibilities, meetings, reports)
  • Calculation of effort defined by template
  • Easy access for project partners to submit their status reports and contributions
  • Automatic aggregation of partners’ contributions and exporting them as a document for reports

Requirements Engineering[edit]

We also plan in the future to use the SMW as a Framework for Requirement Engineering in order to capture, document and manage the requirements of the customer within a specific industrial project. This leads for better requirements analysis phases, which is important for the success of a project to gain the customer satisfaction with the build Application. Furthermore, it is also planned to use the IPE-Wiki for not only our division but also other divisions at FZI and for other research institutions or companies.
