More documentation[edit]

Hi. I love the concept of this extension and it could be extremely useful. I've seen the example usage on http://www.aroundisleofwight.info/en/Around_Isle_of_Wight and it looks ideal. However, I can't seem to get this work as anything other than a table generator at the moment. Do you have any more documentation on it? I've installed it all fine and now I'd like to be able to create a slideshow of images, table rows, words etc etc. At the moment I am only able to generate a table with a sort function, akin to the one on the help page. A better documented example would be extremely helpful. Thanks, Dan.--Mqbpjdj2 13:32, 21 May 2012 (CEST)

Several items

Is it possible to display several items simultaneously in this format, when the effect is slide and there is enough space; and slide results one be one?

Example (effect=slide left is assumed:

step 1: A B C
step 2: B C D
step 3: C D E,

etc

.

SMW::off / SMW::on again

Just a note to say that the problem with SMW::off / SMW::on is also evident in the example on this page (nunrelated to Parsoid).

SMW Slideshow with Image File: pages using just a Category produces SMW::on and SMW::off tags.

I have SMW::off and SMW::off appearing in my slideshow and I am wondering if that is because I am not using slideshow correctly.

I have a bunch of File:<image name> pages and I would like the images to be in a slideshow. I've categorized each file:<image name> page with . With broad table and other results formats besides slideshow, I get the results I would expect. With the slideshow, I can't seem to get rid of the internal SMW::off/on tags used by SMW.

Here is my search:

Here is my output/print template (SlideShow):

470px

All of the examples I have seen use a value assigned to a property as the image source, not the name of the page as the image source, i.g. a page has a property 'image' and the value of the property is set to the name of an image. With my example, I'm trying to use page names as the source to avoid setting a lot of property values and save time.

Is is possible to use SMW Result Formats Slideshow this way?

Some info about SMW::on/off can be found at [0].

I'm guessing since MW 1.25 changed the API interface (and slideshow uses the MW API) that something is missing before/after the parsing and I'm guessing further that if you would use MW 1.24 then you would not see SMW::on/off.

Slideshow seems to be broken

Hi, I couldn't get the slideshow format running on MW 23.4 / SMW 2.0 / SRF 1.9 with chameleon skin. It just displays "undefined" although the query has results. The example on the helpage isn't working too. Any idea on this? Thanks a lot!

This was reported as issue 56. No progress so far, I'm afraid.

Not working with Semantic Internal Objects

Hi

The slideshow format seems not to work whenever the properties it is referring to in the ask query is contained within

function. Otherwise it seems to work like a charm. Tested it a lot of times and it fails to see any properties posted via the #set_internal function.

Slideshow format not working

Seeing the "Result:" in the help page, it seems the format is not working, right?

What are the available effects?

Hi. Documentation doesn't enumerate the available effects. I discovered slide left, slide right, slide up, slide down. Anymore?

Yes there are and I just added them into the documentation. Thank you for this good catch. Sadly the #docinfo parser function cannot provide this kind of information so far. However, it is at least on the roadmap. Cheers
