Data Fields in RSS Output[edit]

Karsten Borgmann I just realized, that you can use another page as an argument for the rss query. Example:

{{#ask: pagename
|format=rss
(...)

The results of any regular SMW query located in pagename (including any data fields and formatting) will be passed to the rss query on the originating page. It looks like a usable workaround for the data field restrictions mentioned here.

Wrong Parameter section[edit]

I belive the parameter section contains some bugs: In the table you find title twice for title and description: title Text required The text to be used as the title of the feed title Text required The text to be used as the description of the feed

While in the text these parameters are

rsstitle: the text to be used as the title of the feed
rssdescription: the text to be used as the description of the feed
Hi, that's true. After the next upgrade of this site, this automatically generated table should be working properly. In the meantime we have to stick to the additional explanation provided. I will add a memory item on my to do list. Cheers --kgh 14:51, 1 December 2011 (CET)

Why vCard format?[edit]

In the intro paragraph: ...and therefore properties must use known labels to specify how the wiki data relates to the vCard format.

And in the section Data fields: ...Properties in printout statements should use one of the following labels, or otherwise are ignored in the resulting vCard. ...

Why is vCard format there? Thanks. --Linforest 12:28, 14 March 2012 (CET)

Hi Linforest, you are right. I believe vCard has nothing to do with this. I presume that it is a copy and paste error. I will change this. Cheers --kgh 16:04, 14 March 2012 (CET) PS This is a bit embarrassing for me because I translated this without thinking about it. :(
